Cardston County the 2025 Municipal Election Season is Here!

The future of Cardston County is in your hands! The Nomination Period for the 2025 Municipal Election is officially open and runs until noon on September 22, 2025.

Pick up a nomination package at the Cardston County Office.

Important: In accordance with the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA), all nomination papers must be submitted in person to authorized staff before noon on September 22, 2025. Submissions sent electronically, given to unauthorized individuals, or left unattended will not be accepted. To ensure compliance with legislation, please contact our office in advance so we can arrange for authorized staff to receive your forms.

Who Can Run?

To be eligible to run for council in Cardston County, you must:
✔️ Be at least 18 years old
✔️ Be a Canadian citizen
✔️ Have lived in Cardston County for at least six consecutive months before Nomination Day (September 22, 2025)
✔️ Not be otherwise disqualified under the Local Authorities Election Act
